Organic Latex Mattresses - Are They Really Organic?

Organic latex mattresses technically does not exist, despite them being a very commercialized.
The big news in the market for latex mattress. It is comfortable, durable, supportive and best of all it is good for back pain.
However, it is organic? This is a question that many people, but only gets a confused response in return.
Two types of latex
First to clarify the difference between the latex and rubber. The latex is white milky sap of the Hevea Brasiliensis tree comes. That sap is taken and then became gum during processing. In the mattress industry rubber and latex terms are used interchangeably.
The first type of latex that can be obtained is leaving the tree. The second is the kind you get in the lab.
Most of the world's rubber trees were under Japanese control during World War II. So to address the shortage of American chemical produced synthetic latex. This latex is derived from petrochemicals and is very toxic.
Toxicity and environmental problems were not really on the radar in the 40s as they are now. But right now we are still using the same toxic product that we were at the time.
Natural or organic?
In reaction to the heavy use of synthetic latex many people are returning to latex products coming true - the material leaving the tree.
The question is, however - the product is organic? If not why I announced organic latex mattresses?
In the minds of most people means something organic is produced and manufactured without toxic chemicals or artificial enhancements.
However organic actually means something subtly different. This means that an independent third party certifies that a product has been produced according to certain environmental standards - which does not include toxic chemicals or artificial enhancements.
So a product can be completely natural and free of toxins, but if there is an independent third party who is entitled to certification then the term "organic" can not be used.
This is the position of latex is in. Many companies are making no toxins and adherence to exemplary environmental practices, but they can not market their products as organic latex mattresses, and that no third party has authorized it.
So instead these latex mattresses are called 'natural latex mattresses. " This is to distinguish the latex created in the laboratory.
If a company uses the phrase "organic latex mattresses" in their marketing read closely. They referred to the filling of wool or cotton, organic, non-latex. Many companies call their products a "natural organic latex mattress" to get around this.
